K, so I'm a massive fan of any hip hop that's noisy and heavy, anything that slightly resembles this sound and I'm all over it. As WATMM is quite the massive collective knowledge of music, I'm sure there's LOADS of stuff in this style I'm missing out on, so here's a naively ballsy attempt to collate every record in this sort of style ever released. I'll start with some of my favourites...

Techno Animal

Dälek

The Beatnigs

Chaos Royale's Unofficial Remixes Vol 1 (This was released for free but it's impossible to get hold of now for some reason, for anyone interested I wish you all the best of luck in getting in contact with someone that has it...)

Sensational

Obviously this a very short list but I don't want to flood this first post. Please share anything you know that's similar!

I'm picky about hip hop, and I tend to like it especially noisy like you've posted. I'll definitely keep an eye on this thread.

Food for Animals - These guys are alright. Not particularly noisy, but I'd like it if they released some new material.

Yes! Belly is a phenomenal album, you might also want to check out Ricky Rabbit's Strictly Ricky on their label Muckamuck, it's a lot more experimental and noise focused, there's also a few instrumental versions of tracks that appeared on later Food For Animals records as well. Unfortunately I can't find any samples to post here :(

Some more recommendations...

An obvious example being Death Grips:

Rubberoom

Carl Crack's Black Ark (I've been reluctant to post anything released on Digital Hardcore Recordings as the common criticism with their releases that there was a massive lack of quality control among their releases I feel is usually appropriate, however Carl Crack's album seems to be the only album where the schizophrenic, unfinished sketch format borderlines on complete genius. It's the lo-fi hip hop equivalent of Daniel Johnston's Hi, How Are You: The Unfinished Album imo)

I completely forgot to post about MC 900 Ft Jesus, thanks for reminding me :cisfor:

Also on the MBM / Jack Dangers tip you might want to check out The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy which he was involved in with a couple of members of the Beatnigs. Back in the time that Michael Franti actually made decent political music rather than cringeworthy Obama campaign songs

And yes Consolidated is the exact sort of stuff I'm looking for, nice recommendation!

here is a parody of COil's album Scatology done via freestyle raps

warning: this album might offend some and was also produced using a low quality PC microphone on Cooledit 1.0

I was listening to Brotherhood of the Bomb just yesterday, followed by Absence. I can't think of anything to offer yet that hasn't already been mentioned in this thread, but I heartily +1 most of it.

I like Ice a lot btw. something about supergroups consisting of various musicians banding together for a shared vision usually gets me excited.

edit: there's a recording of a Techno Animal live set circa 2001 floating around out there. I nabbed it some time ago. definitely worth a listen, no MCs, just a mix of tracks with live tweaking. it's pretty awesome and the sound quality is decent.

black ark is one of my all time favorite albums. best thing on digital hardcore for sure.

nuh-uh, that would be The Destroyer. best thing Alec ever did.

The Destroyer isn't quite hiphop but it has the same brutal sounds and textures that you'd enjoy in Dalek and Techno Animal, so +1 to that as well.

I have a few techno animal livesets. The Sonar recording is actually listenable. Speaking of Alec, some of his output would fit in quite comfortably into this thread.

There's an entire album of remixes for Megaton B-Boy that's worth checking out.

The Sensational track reminded me of the Sensational Meets Koyxen album on Skam, which is fucking amazing.

The track '323' is one of my favourite hip hop songs ever. Couldn't find it on YouTube, listen here: https://bleep.com/release/27553-sensational-meets-koyxen-sensational-meets-koyxen 'gh' is killer too.

If you say noisy HipHop, the obvious are the first three Public Enemy albums "Yo! Bum Rush The Show", "It Takes A Million To Hold Us Back" & "Fear Of A Black Planet".

Plus:

Disposable Heroes Of HipHoprisy "Hipocrisy Is The Greates Luxury"

El-P "I'll Sleep When You Are Dead"

Hijack "Horns Of Jericho"

Silver Bullet "20 Seconds To Comply"

Warp30 anyone? A 4-hour selection.

Amon Tobin megamix sonic gravity pull in 3, 2, 1...

FSOL turns 26 megamix. Auauauaaaaaaaaaaaauaua

Boards Of Canada are soooo lush. Shhhhhhhhhhh hhuuuuhuuuu haaaaa!

Best of Jega BaBooooooom!

Why WAV I wonder? I like this song a lot... the rapping is kind of dreadful - not in a good way - but the production is excellent. Reminds me of some of the stuff off the Mary Anne Hobbs compilations on Planet Mu:

That Cult of the 13th Hour one is a terrible recording. Also this:

maybe getting too into dubstep though...

Actually, both artists were on the Mary Anne Hobbs comps on Planet Mu.

You are right. I thought the third video in your post was also Cult of 13th Hour. The title was missing.
