MOSCOW — Russian officials say a meteorite has fallen in the Chelyabinsk
region some 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) east of Moscow.

A spokesman for the Russian Interior Ministry, Vadim Kolesnikov, said the Friday morning fall caused a blast that broke windows.

i thought that a meteorite would be moving so fast that you would barely see it lingering in the sky. or am i thinking of a comet?

I read on some danish newspaper that around 400 people were wounded from glass and stuff breaking because of the loud soundwave. Anyone know if this is true?

I noticed that as well when my girlfriend showed me these. She insisted the video camera had the wrong date. I was all like no it was the end of the world and we're dead now.
