cool concept, but it sounds super dated already. I can't imagine a non-tacky use for this thing

i would like to see a thing like that but you connect it to a computer with usb cable and you play the strings with sliders on a software interface and don't even have to touch the guitar

Would be pretty amazing for ambient music. It's kinda just like an ebow in 'harmony' mode for each string, really.

it's a cool idea, but it would be much better if it had more range. maybe they haven't explored the full potential yet. what if it chaged the harmonics super rapidly as you were playing? or if it could go so far as to dampen & re-vibrate the string, you could get some sort of percussive effect that would still follow the notes you were playing. or maybe an arpeggiator effect would be cool.

Yeah, I think it'd require a bit more creative playing than what that guy played in the clip, as well. It'd be so great for open tunings, holy shit.

Yeah, it's a great little doohickey but the dude in the demo is playing Dave Mathews chords and blues licks with it which obscures its coolness.

If people who make gear demos had better taste I'd own alot more gear.

Yeah, these guys are fighting the device instead of playing it.

Have some kind of control for ADSR.

I would like to play with one of these for a couple of days. Coming from Moog it's bound to be at least $700. Hard to say if it's worth it but it's a really neat idea.

Next Flahbulb album is sure to feature this prominently.

ya it's most likely a ebow type thing with some dsp taking the freq of the string, processing that, and then feeding it back onto the string.
