AIAIAI TMA-1 remote/MIC

Maybe you guys can help me, you are my last hope.

I just bought those lovely AIAIAI TMA-1 headphones and I thought the three button in-line remote control would be in the box but apparently AIAIAI sell these headphones either "with" or "without" remote. Obviously I got the "without" option (I knew the low price was too good to be true, duh!). I was so excited to try them on that, like a Timmy, I opened the cable plastic bag so now I can't return the item and get my money back.

AIAIAI just told me that, because of an agreement with Apple (damn them!) they can't sell the remote separately. I checked on ebay, amazon, gumtree, you name it...no one sells them.

So, it's fun to use when mixing, but when I am on the move it's just not convenient.

Any idea?

that sounds like complete bullshit.

what happens if there's a faulty cable? they won't ask the customer to send the entire headphones + box. they clearly have replacement cables.

That's exactly what I thought. The last response from AIAIAI was "You might be able to find a replacement, in a shop that sales electronic stuff and cables". Nice, very helpful. I am so fucked off.

This guy who ordered them off Amazon.com had the same problem as you (http://www.amazon.com/review/R327MFIB8BV2VJ/ ) and he says aiaiai was able to sell him the cord for $40.

Who from aiaiai did you try talking to---anyone from Denmark (where they're set up)? http://www.aiaiai.dk/contact Try more than one person, maybe you'll get different results. You bought these directly from aiaiai? The site says you're supposed to have a microphone cable with that pair of headphones. But there's 3 versions of the tma1--v1, v2, v3 (which has the cable you want).

I noticed they do sell aiaiais at the apple store. http://store.apple.com/uk/product/HA504ZM/A/aiaiai-tma-1-headphones-with-remote-mic Maybe you can buy a replacement cord from apple directly? Call them and say you broke your cable and want to pay to have it repaired.

Yeah I talked to AiAiAi in Denmark, and also to several guys at Apple, but I didn't go very far. Will try your links and see what I can find. Thanks again, much appreciated!
