Friendly Foil
I forgot to comment on this. Mixing is great. drums sound huge. The high pitched synth doesn't do a whole lot for me. It sounds different from a lot of other stuff, which quite a few people would probably appreciate, so as always, I guess it's just a taste thing. The deeper stuff at 2:30 sounds a lot better in my opinion. Goes really well with the drums. sounds like a submarine or something. The ending is nice too, but I kinda feel you could've fit a couple of subtle details in there, like a hidden away pad in the background or something. Just to add to that extra layer of subtle details, that only becomes apparent after the first few listens. Not asking for super emotional detuned pads with lots of reverb, that completely changes the mood or anything, but maybe, as I said, something that could add that little bit of extra 'depth' to the track. Other than that, this seems like quite a step forward from the last thing I heard from you. I think it was a few months ago in chatmm or something, if I remember correctly. Your mixing has really improved! edit: shit. sorry for rambling. Hope any of this makes sense. Guest waveformblue
I'm diggin' the spooky vibe you've got here. There's a lot going on, yet it fits together well. Friendly Foil has a good ear, so I second just about everything he said - especially adding some little bits during the fade out. However, I like the high-pitched synth. Also...the subtle warble is a really nice touch. Only thing I don't like is how the white-noise "pock" drags an eighth-note behind. I would either have it fall right on first beat or bring it down a bit in the mix. I'm sure you were aiming for something a bit different; others may appreciate that, and disagree with my opinion.
