Aphex Twin Interview @ BBC (1995)

This is a good one. I like how he is so reluctant to say he uses regular gear. He has got to keep that chess game in motion.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

Heh, so Hangable Auto Bulb is an anagram of Analogue Bubblebath!

Sorry if this is traditional jazz.

Read the rules n00b!

;p

Wow. I really like the new music I got to hear on this. I always thought getting into Xenakis and Stockhousen would be so daunting so I didn't go there too much, but I love the excerpts they played here.

Yeah, the Xenakis piece played here got me into him and other types of weird music when I first heard this interview. But, they don't play Stockhausen on this program, they play some noise group parodying his name called "Stock, Hausen and Walkman".

The host accent is so very British. Its amusing and makes me chuckle.

Thanks for posting this by the way. I think I may of heard it a long time ago.

Well put. I like that he mentioned Forbidden Planet's extremely influential OST and they didn't know what he was talking about.

Interesting one-off project.

Also, interesting that they play the Iannis Xenakis piece that was originally created to accompany the opening of the square outside the Pompidou Centre in France in 1978 and Aphex played the Pompidou Centre in 2010.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.
