Joe Landolina may have invented a cure for bleeding. He claims that his creation, a substance called Veti-Gel, jump-starts the clotting and healing process so quickly that even wounds to internal organs or major arteries are able to close up instantaneously.

Veti-Gel (also sometimes called Medi-Gel) is a synthetic form of the extracellular matrix, or ECM, the substance that forms a kind of scaffolding in the body that holds cells together and also triggers the clotting process if there is an injury.

Seems extremely promising, the uses could be mental. Not to mention hemophilia could be a thing of a past too.

There's a demonstration video on the link, but if like me you're really squeamish and anything to do with blood makes you feel queasy and anemic, well don't say I didn't warn you.

Man, you could totally punk people with this. Like slash a giant gash in them and they will think they are going to die. Then you slap some goo on them and they don't bleed out. But really why is it so amazing a guy made a gel that can do what a hot iron has been able to do for ages.

There will be new love from the ashes of us.

Interesting read. I like the idea, but I can't help but be skeptical about side effects or factors of error every time a new technology is introduced. If it's tried and true though, that would ease my concerns.

Sort of reminds me of those vials of green liquid in Half-Life 2 that you grab has health boosts.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

Oh, great, another thing that can make people live longer... Totally necessary.

why are you so negative towards the evolution of medicine? aka saving peoples lives aka your family member just got stabbed fatally. here is a new gel that could potentially save his/her life

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

lol

Why do we need to help everybody on Earth? What's in it for the rest of the world? Do you people even think about what happens to this world if everybody keeps living?
