unknown mortal orchestra is one of those bands i hadn't heard of at all until i saw them live last year opening for grizzly bear, made me wonder why. on record they've got a great fuzzy, lo-fi thing going on. some of the guitar work almost reminds me of bibio.

^really good blend of mathy/shoegaze rock, unfortunately their guitarist died making a reunion impossible

i know the guy that runs it. he's alright. they all live in the town i'm from
