Immortal Technique

Anybody listen to this rapper? Got in to him by mentioning Jedi Mind Tricks to an American guy. The guy said 'dude you have to listen to Immortal Technique'.

The lyrics are very thoughtful though a bit demagogue-ish and the music sounds as good as any of the major label hip hop if not better. Got to have some respect for a rapper who has visited Afghanistan to build an orphanage?

It's good because it's obviously made by an intelligent and dedicated person who has good character traits that shine through the tracks?

BTW i did a search and couldnt find another thread about immortal technique, might not have searched properly?

One of my favourite rappers.

Meh, I had a few of his albums but I kinda lost interest in him... I've even seen him live at Soundset once, it was kinda underwhelming. His political lyrics seem so forced, and a lot of the ideologies are really misguided. I think he rocks kind of a pseudo-intellect many times and that sort of bugs me. I won't discredit his flow though, the guy can rap and he's got some decent beats... I'm just not into it.

yeah i'm not into rap much, i have a few exceptions

Immortal Technique is one of them
