Help: Japanese (I think) western film, came out about 2001

I saw it in 2001 when i was about 13 or so, I remember pink being very prominent in the film, it was quite camp & kitsch, I remember it being a good film. Does this ring any bells?

Japanese western?

The only one I can think of is Sukiyaki Western Django. But that doesn't sound right at all.

That reminds me of Tears of the Black Tiger which is a Thai western movie from 2000

Yeah, it's a pretty good film. Has this really dreamy and surreal feel.

13 year old me thought it was wicked, 25 year old me is going to rewatch it this weekend.
