first of all i don't like the title[if you have ever been close to death or real bad pain u wouldn't joke like that -preachy preachy]

then

not to be a kunt but here is my honest unedited opinion

it sounds as though it was done in FL or reason in one sitting

the main 303 acid melodies are not hook ish or catchy/memorable

the drums stay the same thru the whole track-no change in pitch/timbre/dynamics nor are there any fills or layers or buildups/breakdowns

at this point in time[2006]to use an 808 and a 303 /"acid" sounds in of itself is well beyond cliche

if confined to said tools one must really examine melody and harmony to get any kind of musical payback

these sounds are well over used so you need to be extra careful when approaching these musical tropes

the pads at the end brighten things up a bit

but sadly this reminds me of backround music to a late 80s early 90s california porn video that is not even worth watching cause the "actresses" are too skinny/ugly and don't give good head

It was all done on analogue equipment. I didn't use any 808 or 303 noises, just a 909 kit and a synthesizer (along with another synthesizer and an effects box).

sounds like you had fun making this. i think it's way too long though.. just keep at it.

reminds me a lot of my early days with rebirth and an amd k6-200. the opening effects sound just like the pcf filter.. interesting that you did it on analog equipment.

decent track, though could be better if you remapped it out and put some other elements in there, it gets a bit repeatitive and takes too long to change; it doesnt change until the last minute or so of the track. i say it's very worthy of remodeling.

this is like minimal techno right?

minimal techno works if it has energy to it

all this track might need is just an increase of bpm

give that a shot

needs a bit more color, and more darkness sprinkled all over for my taste.

trying putting your snare through it's own channel so it's not swamped by the kick

some atmospherics in there could help liven it up a bit too

If you want to make it sound better, you'll need to work harder at making music in general. Just because you spent god knows how much money acquiring analogue equipment doesn't mean you're capable of producing anything but a rudimentary demo of box's capabilities.

I put it on here because I often can't tell if something I make is good. This one wasn't! So there.

It has potential to be good you just need to drill a hole into your head then lay hole-down on the track and let your grey matter leak all over it.
