Guest Araungzeb
So this is being discussed on Twosim and was briefly mentioned in one of the threads on here, but I felt that this deserved its own thread: Alternate title: This 1977 low-budget Canadian film deals with massive crop failures in North America due to climate change and the destruction of social order as a result. The soundtrack sounds like Old Tunes-era BOC, and if this isn't a direct inspiration then I will eat my red or blue beanie. I have a feeling that this is going to make a resurgence as a cult hit... For anyone interested in watching, the full film is available here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xm6utm_deadly-harvest_shortfilms#.UYLxBMoQZek Edited May 3, 2013 by Araungzeb Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/78719-deadly-harvest/ Share on other sites

Guest peterdines
Ha! You know, it's funny, when I saw the new BoC cover this movie was the first thing I thought of, but I didn't realize it was actually inspired by it. It's a quaint bit of cheese that used to get late night airtime now and then here in Canada, along with a few other really bizarre horror films like Deathdream and The Pit. I praise / blame our Canadian content regulations. Guest umop_apisdn
I made the mistake of buying and watching the Killings at Outpost Zeta. I won't make that mistake again. Guest jasondonervan
Yeah, I watched about 4 mintues of that on youtube a few years ago, it's terri-bad. The Twoism cover is misleadingly evocative of a cool, dark sci-fi movie, but the reality is more like a school play. Worse, in fact. Joyrex
Not the first time the band has based a release off a movie... Twoism EP's cover is from the 1980 movie, "The Killings At Outpost Zeta" - a direct grab of a scene near the end of the film. modey
Oh zole, see all this time I thought the Twoism cover was of two competing motorcyclists who decided to get off their bikes, forget their differences and have a cuddle.
