made this in audacity yesterday, had an idea to use this sample from rob swift which had gangis khan rapping over a phone. would appreciate any critique and especially any opinions on how the "rapping over the phone" thing sounds. it sounds good to me but not sure if its a concept worth expanding on (or if theres other stuff out there already). cheers yall!

well first off the beat is fucking tight. the "dripping" plinky synth sounds are amazing and a good "gangsta" sounding substitute for a discordant piano (or is it a manipulated discordant piano?)

The rapping is way off the beat, and it "sorta works", but if it was on the beat it would be AMAZING...right now it sounds like an incredibly tight beat that goes all wonky avant-garde when the lyrics kick in.

Im assuming this is a sample? Can you get a hold of a rapper to redo it and add the staticy "phone message" effects afterwards?

Really man, its worth the extra effort. With tight rapping, I'd jam to an album of this easy.
