I figure a lot of watmm'ers already know this site, so just a heads up: the new site has launched. http://intergalactic.fm/

For people that don't know it yet: http://intergalactic.fm/ is an amazing radiostation set up by the Hague hero I-F that covers pretty much all my music needs online. There are 6 channels that are broadcasting 24/7.

IFM1 - The main channel (Murdercapital FM) that broadcasts mainly electro, wave, lots of live programs ranging from punk to krautrock and braindance

IFM2 - Classix - lot's and lot's of Italo Disco, Disco, 80's hiphop

IFM3 - Galaxia - House & Electronics

IFM4 - The Dream Machine - Soundtracks & Ambient & weird shit

IFM5 - The Garden - Space and Ambient (lot's of Aphex, Brian Eno, etc.)

IFM6 - Radiofreerobotron - experimental

They are broadcasting without any commercials, only with cool interludes with movie samples and robot vocals and are pretty much the home for Legowelt (most played artist on there), Xosar, Rude 66 (he has a program every monday evening) and labels like Viewlexx, Bunker, Strange Life, Creme Organization, etc.

Also they have multiple TV channels, if you register for free you only get TV0 and TV1 (which is now playing old Unit Moebius videos repeatedly), with paid subs you get TV2 which I think will play obscure Italian horror, American sci-fi and overall awesome movies constantly (I discovered the Andromeda Strain and alot of other classics through this site).

Paid subscriptions also gives you the possibility to upload your mixes, add favorites and rate tracks (that will be used in the top 100 x-mas list), etc.

Definitely worth bookmarking!

Big 'Ol Bump, because this great radiostation is in trouble. If there's anyone that wants to support it $$$ wise, nows the time. Read about it here:

https://intergalacticfm.com/content/were_being_raped_15-01-14-08-01.php

+ they have a kickass show on now that you can watch live on TV0, will be weekly with a lot of guests (Legowelt will be popping in too) and finally, Legowelt & Xosar will come back with a regular radioshow every week, IF the station can survive this shit.

Support!

So are more people going to be tuned in for the Intergalactic FM Top 100? Kicks off in an hour (maybe a bit later), and will last until 02:00 CIT (Dutchie time). Always a great time with live TV and most of all, great tunes!

Nice to hear some Xosar love

Yeah, she got lots of attention over there (mostly because of the Legowelt affiliation probably), but it seems she sort of disapeared from the entire scene this year though.

First three tracks have been promising so far, but I doubt that I'll be able to listen until the end, unless I can convince the staff at my local bar to tune in tonight, which I doubt.

Guest unteleportedman

Fuck yea, Herr. I will listen. Definitely awesome site that I need to check out more (should be easier now that I have my stereo set up in the living room opposed to when it was set up in my crammed bedroom). Thank you for the reminder, I made free account maybe a few months ago or more when you recommended it to me back then.

Started! Only a top 80 this year, probably to do with the fact that tracks can't enter the top list more than twice, so it's always a very different list each year.

Just caught the start, I'll probably be tuning in and out like last year. I think I still have some notes lying around from then that I need to add to a wantlist or something.

Noice! It's the last top 100 (well, 80) they'll ever do so I'm definitely going to enjoy it to the max. Going great so far with Hype Williams, Overdose, Onyeabor and... THIS

I don't know the voting process so I still don't get what the deal is with the 80 tracks, is it that people were allowed to vote for tracks that weren't eligible due to the two appearances rule, or were there not even 100 different tracks nominated per se?

Only my second time following this, but it would be a shame if the rule that can make it so interesting to listen to also kills the whole thing.

Every user is able to make their own top 25, they add those up and order the list based on ratings. Not enough people submitted their top 25 list though (I nearly forgot mine too). I wonder why they don't just look at the highest rated tracks overall too to make a top 100...

They also quit because this is the ?10th/11th? top 100 (including the old CBS radio editions) and they want to do something else :)
