should be able to in the settings, you can on Android anyway.

try top left button, and scrolling down on the bit that slides in? settings should be down there

I've got another issue with the latest update of Android - It's always fucking running even when closed.... I've got all notifications disabled, chat off, sync off, everything off (Hell I even reinstalled the app to double check I'd done it right). At yet every time I get a private message my phone pings and I speech bubble notification pops up in the corner, the fact it's constantly checking for it also means my battery is dropping at a considerably greater speed than before

EDIT:

It's hopefully this (done on the phone app rather than the website) -

Tap 216281295100608_1611717582.png and then scroll to the bottom of the menu

Tap Privacy Settings > Notifications > Mobile Push

Check the things you want to get notifications about or un-check the things you don't want to get notifications about

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

just delete the app. simples!

Don't think that hasn't crossed my mind - alas unfortunatly it's the only method of communication to some of my family at the moment ...

Ah shame. Just have to fiddle about with the settling then. Turn off pop-up alerts?

  Reveal hidden contents

Yeah I think I've done it (see my updated post up there ^ ) - turned all the notifications off but I missed the 'Mobile Push' thing hidden in the privacy options

- Tap Home Settings > Messenger Settings > Notifications

- Uncheck Chat Heads

(apparently, I don't have an iPhone)

Blackberry continues to commit seppuku by announcing they're bringing BlackBerry Messenger to iOS/Android... the one compelling feature (not for me, at least) to use BlackBerry, and they're putting it on the competition's devices. Smart move.

They've fallen to fourth place, with Windows Phone (LOL) beating them in market share. Sad.

Yep, it is a smart move, if you've realised that as a company you can no longer compete with the competition, and would do better in spinning yourself off as a services company, rather than a manufacturer of sub par handsets that are prone to faults (I work for a major mobile phone company here in the UK, and the amount of calls I get from customers with faulty Blackberries is astonishing).
