speakers - technical question

can i place a pair of speakers right next to my laptop and have it be safe? or it a no-no? ...magnets (how do they work?)

 

and i'm talking about normal speakers, not monitors. i want to place them on either side of my laptop

should be safe.

Should be safe if you're using sensibly sized monitors. If they're MASSIVE PA speakers then check the strength of the magnet.

Again, should be fine. Not sure if putting the laptop on top is a great idea for several reasons, but I don't think the magnets in those speakers will be strong enough to do any damage.

yes, you need to make sure your laptop has not a CRT screen.

Should be fine otherwise.

I'm not sure how Canada's scene is but since you have an interest in graffiti you should get yourself on Flickr. I've never seen so many unbelievably talented artists in one place. I hope by now you've figured out how magnets work.
