They were good in Manc!

Definitely a band that everyone should see at least once.

I saw them back in 2008 so I've seen them at least once :)

Apparently they play bizarrely quietly on this tour, and the vocals (which normally are hazy in the midst of all the guitars) are barely audible at all. Let's hope for better.

I was at that 2008 Manchester show too. That insane rendition of 'You Made Me Realise' seems to have gone down as pretty legendary...

I'll never experience anything like that again, it was amazing.

I was stupid and thought I was a badass: "I don't need ear plugs"

I had tinnitus for two weeks straight :cerious:

Haha, exactly the same here! Thought the earplugs were just for pussies and didn't take a pair when offered... You Made Me Realise was the most surreal sensory experience of my life. Unbelievable. And I spent the next couple days worried that I'd permanently damaged my hearing.

(I probably did.)

wow Kevin got fat! Belinda seemed completely indifferent to the show, hope there's no bad blood circulating. it was (a little) quieter than last time, I guess they figure save what hearing we have left! good mix of all 3 albums. heard 2 new tracks; one meh, one excellent.

New shit!

I read a couple of new interviews via the MBV facecebook page and he takes about how there was a new song that was awesome that was like She Found Now and it didn't make the cut. I wonder if that is the one you liked.

He said it was one of 3 that would likely get released on an ep.

He also said the band would be recording all new material.

It was one (or both) of these two:

Saw them in SF tonight! Great show, though Belinda wasn't always audible (which is par for the course I guess). 'Wonder 2' was insane live: Colm put down the drum sticks and picked up a guitar for the track's 3-guitar attack (Kevin had an E-Bow for that track as well). Nothing else that evening quite topped it for me... The 'legendary' You Made Me Realize 10 minute noise set was the closing piece to a monstrous set of all three albums and some EP tracks.

Go see them if you can!
