these gems just turned up on youtube. seems like someone took it upon themselves to "remix" (re-take, really) the entirety of "random access memories."

sounding really good! my highlights:

gettin' some nicolas jaar / cowboy-ey vibes. still not sure about other people records, though.

Good initiative, unfortunately the results sound even more helpless than the originals.

These are great! My mind's not blown but these are enjoyable edits.

Also, I thought the album sounded perfectly fine, it was just excessively overhyped and overrated. It's the collective music journalist community was paid off to not simply say "It's Steely Dan or Chic 2.0. Meh."

I'm not a fan of Random Access Memories at all, it veers into lift music territory too much for my own personal taste. Much prefer this version of Get Lucky than the original.

Yeah Doin' Right was one of the handful of flawless tracks from RAM imo.

These remind me of the unofficial remix projects done for the Prodigy and Chemical Brothers from 2004/2005, which were arguably as good or better but also unnecessary since the source albums weren't all that bad:
