beck has released 2 new, 1 track singles. they're available for purchase on vinyl or digital, and come with 15 minute extended version (second of which was also uploaded below vvv).

Both sounding very nice, Defriended especially. Would love to have another Beck album drop.

Ordered both the 12"s a few days ago now. Excited!

Defriended is still growing on me, but I Won't Be Long is fantastic. Of course, there's very little this man does that I do not thoroughly enjoy.

Yeah both these tracks do it for me in a big way. Really looking forward to new album(s)

I've only listened to each one once (when they were announced, independently) and I like them both. I might have liked Defriended more as the style was really unexpected and cool. I won't be long seems to have a really different style which is also quite cool and pretty post-punk. So that's nice, two new tracks with fresh sounds as opposed to sounding like he's tired. Looking forward to an LP.

Seems to be. The download option linked to iTunes page with only the 1 track listed. I think the vinyl comes with download link to both though, I seem to read it as saying.

Good ol' Beck. He's been away too long. He's a wizard.

I am perpetually conflicted about Beck.

Undoubtedly he has made some absolutely amazing music that I 100% stand by. But some of his stuff I love, and some of his stuff I would never listen to in a million years.

For instance, as clever-ish and musically competent as Midnite Vultures is, its flavor of humor is simply a bit too, I dunno, Dane Cook for my palette. Or something. And the early acoustic albums just aren't my thing.

I love Guero, Modern Guilt, The Information, Mutations and Sea Change. I learned alot from those records.

Odelay is somewhere in the middle, but the production is so creative that I would study the album even if Tom Green had written the lyrics.

This new stuff is really interesting, and in my book "interesting" is definitely high praise.

Crazy question, but is there somewhere besides iChoonz where you can download these tracks and their extended versions on the legit?

Also Midnite Vultures rules my world

i like both of these, looking forward to the album or whatever.
