need a song identified, desperate to find this again!!

alright, Ive been racking my brain to figure out what the fuck this song is

-its from the 80s

-the singer/songwriter was some sort of punker back in the day

-im pretty sure the singer was british

-the song had something to do with a famous movie star dying in a motorbike or car accident

-there might have been other celebrities mentioned

-it was sarcastic as fuck

-but it was also catchy as hell

if i remember, it might have been one really solid riff played over and over with different lyrics, but i cant say for sure. all i know is that i wanna hear it again. does anyone know wtf im talking about? please help. I wanted to think the song was called "James Dean is Dead" or something but no results are turning up on the google.

Mdm. Chaos, it was definitely more upbeat and sarcastic in nature. Like the whole song was tongue in cheek and poking fun at some particular celebrity drinking or taking too many pills and dying in a car accident. Fuck me I cant remember this damn song.
