LCC - album vs Glasgow

Which do you prefer, the Untilted version of LCC or the Glasgow Art School Live version?

I prefer the Glasgow version.

It's so much more lush and the melody is more apparent as well as more melancholy. It's so much more detailed than the Untilted version and just far more enjoyable overall

yeah its a good track n all innit but in the context of the glasgow set it just slays, epiv moment of brill captured

the better question, imo is:

lcc glasgow or lcc hemsby?

hemsby is nastier

I think normal LCC is the best, but without saying, the other one is sweet!

IIRC It was watmmember ~ISM who furnished the original 128k glasgow set... and a year or 2 later he purported to "find" a superior 256k version and upload it (to much watmm fanfare)... so if you're gonna bark up any tree, it's his.

Yeh the Hemsby set is the Glasgow set put through an autechre-izor in the ultimate "meta" gig.

Love the subtle "au - tech - re" vocals at the start...........

album version sounds fucking great on the stereo.

I tend not to refer to the Glasgow segment as "LCC" because the rhythm patterns don't exactly match. Could possibly be an alternate version though

I prefer the Glasgow one.

Also, it is funny coz I hear exactly its rhythmic part on ~35 minutes on oversteps tour recordings.

The studio version. So many details and subtelty that live version misses. Both are good though.

I don't know why you call it LCC version as well, i can say that the segment linked up there has probably the best/funkiest acid line i've ever heard (a close contestant is the part from 34:25 on Glasgow soundboard). Appropriate percussion to escort it, but pads and the rest are kinda generic - LCC goes much further.
