Guest chunky
Got this through the post today - absolutely better than the hong kong ebay type, it actually works for one and there are updated drivers on the website for different operating systems. Had it running a monosynth from a midi cv converter and it sounded pretty good! Not sure about the timing on longer sections but on 8 and 16 bar phrases it's fine. Made up a funny little track in about 45 minutes and was happy with it. Writing this post because someone asked about this gadget in a thread a few months ago, cant remember which thread ;-). 40 quid was a bit expensive but it's compact and it works. Need to get back to yous with the timing situation, need to update drivers and change HD/OS to see if things improve. Edit: At first I thought the timing was ganked but then I realised that the general midi instruments on the laptop were lagging behind the monosynth, so really the timing on the synth was even better than the one for the sound being generated by the laptop hehe.
