My Bass guitar album

I know that i keep threatening to make it. well, i finally started recording and working on my bass album. and i remember that some of you were interested in it. Today i released a song that will be on the album. its inspired from the music in "The Last of Us."

Is the game any good? I hate the Uncharteds. Very nice music.

yeah i know. lol i just have been having a bit of a personal dilemma with the album. about half the songs i originally planned to put on it i tossed. so i had to write half of the album again. this album means a lot to me, and i refuse to release anything that is less than perfect. so that means its gonna be some more time, sorry. but the fact that i made this thread means im moving forward. i already have the bass recorded for a couple songs. its safe to say that im about halfway through.

Stephen you outta everyone have shown the most interest in this so thank you for your patience.

Btw I love this track you've put up already. Like th555 said, it's pretty ambient/minimal but I absolutely love the sound of the bass guitar on it's own, it has a huge range of sound/ability so in the right hands!!!!... It's a weapon!

Just popped in to say I've given this another 10 listens. It sounds like an album opener or perhaps intermission? The ambience and just the particular direction the notes take suggest something to follow or something precluding. I'm probably not making much sense. =/

I like it though. As a fan of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Malmsteen etc, I guess I'm saying it sounds like the intro or outro to one of their songs (though none in particular come to mind). I hope I'm not offending you, I love this stuff!

the responses that ive been receiving on these tracks has really made making them worth while.

I really really like this, very atmospheric.

thanks. its pretty hard to do that on a bass since its such a powerful instrument. these songs are the culmination of my studying on very particular artists. Specifically Jean Baudin. if you (or anyone) like ambient solo bass you should really check this guy out. he's an amazing musician and grossly unrecognized.
