Isn't there some middle ground between dislike and "omg classic i luv u brothers u complete me"?

I think it's "good"

Edited by baph

I was pretty disappointed by the album. I feel like its missing some of that magic that I get in older releases. To me, its sort of like a much better version of The Campfire Headphase but Tomorrow's Harvest isn't anywhere near as interesting as "Music..." or "Geogaddi." I've only listened to it like 3 times tho

please don't kill me

Listened to it twice.

I'm not pushed listening to it again, and I cant remember any of the tracks.

you can't get the full power of an album like this in 2-3 listens, it's not pop music

lol at the dissapointment, it's a good album imo

Only took that much for MHTRTC.

Im sure its better than I think, I'll give it a proper chance one of these days. Far too much good music around at this present time to go back.

I listened to it a few times when it was first released and never more since then. It's a weak effort. I'd rather keep listening to Geogaddi

maybe that's because MHTRTC sounded so fresh when it came out and we got spoiled too much by bocbocboc

i gotta agree that there are 2 many good releases this year, i don't play it that much

but hey a good wine get's better by the years :cisfor:

I honestly think if this album were made under a different name, it wouldn't get as much praise.

Perhaps. But the opposite could be true too. Held up against the rest of the BoC catalogue, TH might not seem as great, but if taken by itself, it's pretty damn good.

I like it quite a bit, but there is no way i'd place it in the ranks of MHTRTC or Geogaddi

I've listened to it more than 3 times. Just as The Campfire Headphase is still a disappointment after 8 years of it being released, Tomorrow's Hype is still a disappointment almost 2 months after release, and I don't foresee my opinion of this album changing over time.

tracks like Cold Earth, Nothing Is Real and New Seeds, are, weak???

I personally think that as an album, it doesn't flow as well as MHTRTC or Geogaddi, but there a lot of amazing tracks on this release. I think people were expecting a 'Geogaddi Part 2' and became disappointed. I quite like this direction they went in - it seemed logical based on prior interviews before TH's release in relation to their concerns over societal matters.

Quite good.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Those of you who said there are far better albums than TH please recommend me a few? I'd like to listen to them. I don't really have my finger on the pulse so much these days, so I need a helping hand.

Cheers.

You should really give this album at least 10 listens. And preferably on a decent sound system or some really good headphones. The immense layering and sound design deserves nothing less.

I had to let it sink in too before being able to fully appreciate it. This album, on the contrary to their other output, is definitely a solid but slow grower. I was rather underwhelmed the first couple of listens but now I really love it. There are really a lot of standout tracks on this one.

I particularly love Jacquard Causeway.

If it were made under a different name people would be saying it completely rips off BoC.

First half = GOD LEVEL

Second half = if someone other than BOC released it nobody would care

Jacquard Causeway is really the only redeeming track for the first half in my eyes though

i cant really see any constructive opinions/criticism with peps that dont like it, in a way there is so much new music these days that if it doesn't agree with you then u will move on to the next album of whatever, george venetian micheals, lone's, modeselckotors greatest hits etc..... the great think about boc is that they somehow manage to slow down time and bring you back into reality rather then the never endin round of instant gratification & consumption of (mostly disposable) albums which down the road in a few years time u won't give a another listen but will probably give TH a try, it's a great album creating a huge amount amount of headspace etc which few others doin these days...... but with the haters i will agree about the marketing.....it's kind of like the equivalent of batman walking around naked
