D23 Disney Expo - Anaheim, California

It's a slow news weekend, and this is going on right now, so any big Disney fans on here? They decided not to reveal any Star Wars news, apart from what is probably a theme park announcement called Orange Harvest, but showing a lot of Pixar, Marvel and Disney upcoming footage, and tomorrow is all about the Disney Infinity game which I'm really looking forward to.

They did the Disney Legends awards today, and presented Steve Jobs with a posthumous award, accepted by John Lasseter. I'm not too impressed with Pixar's upcoming schedule, they are relying too much on sequels now, no doubt Disney's influence.

Shit, they're already planning Planes 2, which is getting awful reviews. Tomorrowland, based on the Space Mountain area of Disney World is a George Clooney/Damon Lindelof project that sounds retarded. I wish they would at least do a token hand drawn animation movie every once in a while, but those days are over.

What do Disney fans want from the company these days? I'm an old fart so my opinion is moot. I just want good theme park rides, being a native Floridian I try to hit the parks at least once a decade.

aside from the Marvel and Star Wars stuff, i'm looking forward to Zootopia. the premise sounds pretty good and im a sucker for talking animals. i also read that they are going to make an Artemis Fowl movie. this is probably the biggest thing for me cause i figgin love those books. they're all i read back in the day.

I'm interested in Big Hero 6, Disney's attempt at adapting the Marvel manga.
