Batine Acid and Boxing Day

Recommended Posts

I only just noticed, 2:57 into Batine Acid, there's a bell-like riff that's basically a slower version of the main riff from Boxing Day. Maybe one of them started off as a remix of the other, or he was just cross pollinating ideas?

That sounds about right, there being lots of recycling, Deer. Besides the much discussed Carnival Acid appearing in the background of Bwoon Dub as he appeared to re-use an old tape, I've only noticed the more obvious re-uses, such as with Trojan.KillAV.E and W32.Aphex@mm sharing an acidline. What others are there?

Psn, compare the very beginning of Boxing Day with 2:57 into Batine Acid, until somewhere in maybe the 3:20s (it gets kinda jammed into the background by the other instruments before disappearing). The same vaguely-bell-like sound is there, playing a very similar riff.

I like the use of white noise as an instrument too. :)

I love the recycling that goes on in the series, Analord 7 is good for that, it doesn't sample but he stays very much in a limited box of drum patterns.

Yeah, I was gonna mention Pitcard and Lisbon Acid sharing some percussion parts. Pitcard is SO GOOD
