ZoeB
I only just noticed, 2:57 into Batine Acid, there's a bell-like riff that's basically a slower version of the main riff from Boxing Day. Maybe one of them started off as a remix of the other, or he was just cross pollinating ideas? YO303
There is a lot of recycling on Analords, you will always hear part of songs in other songs. ZoeB
That sounds about right, there being lots of recycling, Deer. Besides the much discussed Carnival Acid appearing in the background of Bwoon Dub as he appeared to re-use an old tape, I've only noticed the more obvious re-uses, such as with Trojan.KillAV.E and W32.Aphex@mm sharing an acidline. What others are there?Psn, compare the very beginning of Boxing Day with 2:57 into Batine Acid, until somewhere in maybe the 3:20s (it gets kinda jammed into the background by the other instruments before disappearing). The same vaguely-bell-like sound is there, playing a very similar riff. psn
OK, got it! Wow, never noticed that line in Batine Acid until now. jlobkob
a bit off topic, but this is a good occasion to state my opinion that batine acid's beginning has ubercool percussions (dat snareroll). ZoeB
I like the use of white noise as an instrument too. :) Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide ZoeB's signature Hide all signatures http://www.zoeblade.com On 5/13/2015 at 9:59 PM, rekosn said: zoe is a total afx scholar Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/80146-batine-acid-and-boxing-day/#findComment-2050065 Share on other sites
Klopjob
I love the recycling that goes on in the series, Analord 7 is good for that, it doesn't sample but he stays very much in a limited box of drum patterns. Candiru
Yeah, I was gonna mention Pitcard and Lisbon Acid sharing some percussion parts. Pitcard is SO GOOD Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/80146-batine-acid-and-boxing-day/#findComment-2050647 Share on other sites
