MisterE
i'm one track in and it's a decent AE knockoff! sorry if that sounds like me being a dick, but that's exactly what it is it's pretty listenable so that's the main thing so i intend this to be a compliment Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/80273-grids-grains-waves-lp/#findComment-2054364 Share on other sites
Guest rrredarmyyy
I think this is really interesting because it feels like you are using three distinct instruments, each with a very defined sound, and making a series of tracks while sticking to those elements (hence the LP title?). The tones compliment each other really well and carry a nice minimal quality throughout. Using specific tones in this way gives it a traditional feel, like a string trio, only instead you're using synthetic voices. Unmanned Horizon is my favorite, I really like how it grows out then breaks back down at the end around those sparse chord voicings. Also I really like the odd tuning on Cyclic.
