need opinions on a mix

my brother's making an EP (so i didn't make this track, he did), your opinion on the mix is welcome. i personnally think the bass doesn't sound right, it's a bit muddy, indistinct. i don't know

Sounds good! I don't hear anything problematic with the bass myself. And nice track! Very Italo Disco.

also think it sounds fine - the kick drum might be a little shallow and clicky, but i think that's more the choice of instrument rather than the mixing - it actually stands out of the mix very well, but personally I would swap it out for a sample/instrument with a bit more depth and low end.

Sounds decent on a laptop speakers so that's saying something. Yeah man really like this shit!! I'd play this on my show for shizzle. I'm on Sub FM by the way. ;-)

Brian I literally wouldn't change a thing about that mix.

If your brother wants a sort of 'mastered sheen' on it he could always add a subtle little high shelf.

But I like slightly darker mixes, so the tune sounds great to me as is.
