A friend of mine had a TV with a printer back in the 80s. That was the only one of its kind I ever saw.

is he using the teletext only as a UI to the TV sampler/synth he's done.. with the internals of the TV.. somehow?

What I can gather from the one long comment is that the tracker is running on a remote-controlled computer playing its sound through the TV speakers, and all the TV is really doing is displaying the interface via teletext rather than as a video signal.

+ inputting commands via remote control + it can grab screen data and produce visual feedback fx
