looking for vst freeze effect

anybody have tips for grain freeze effects like "thaw" (which inadvertently does bit reduction) or grain freeze, which doesnt sound right.

?

dblue stretch comes to mind, it has a hold mode.

Yeah, that plugin is fucking excellent. I made so many LP5/EP7 ripoff tracks with it. So easy to get sounds like the drums in FLeure with it as well (that's probably why I'm not as impressed with it as pretty much everyone else on this board).

A lot of granulizers also have a hold button.
