... what if everything we've ever heard aphex do (released/unreleased live tracks, etc) is ALL HE'S EVER DONE?!?

The ultimate piss.

He has no "unreleased" material... Everything he's done that we know has actually taken him all that time to put together...

(it actually wouldnt be shocking for such an extremely inventive artist to take all of that time on their output, instead of having tons of other unreleased tracks)

So, rich, cmon, prove that you have material other than what weve heard.. or else, we're just going to have to take the stance that it simply doesnt exist.. youre 3 albums... 11 albums... no albums but countless tracks/ideas etc that we imagine you have and that youve said you have... decades worth of brilliance-- all suspect to even be real, unless you show us.

I think he had a lot of stuff in the beginning, now he has nothing, that's why he dropped a couple of songs here and there and that's it. Lies about multiple ready albums meant to compensate his frustration.

oh i totally agree.. how could one not have unreleased things being a producer for that long, especially such an inventive one? im sure he does have a lot of stuff, im just releasing some radical skepticism/descartes energy on the topic of afx. a simple thought experiment ha

another fun radical view i just thought of, is that what if...

aphex twin's entire catalogue of work is really all a bunch of ghost writers and engineers and other artists and labels that he paid off to disguise itself as all done by aphex, but in this hypothesized reality, he's just a poster child for idm? lolz

when i downloaded the tracks and put them on my mp3 player, i started imagining they were a mixed bag of old unreleased AFX stuff and Mattias östlinG, all scrambled together so nobody would find out which was which.

I was thinking about this earlier today, but vibert said in an interview that richard really does have 100+ hours of unreleased music, and that most of his best stuff has never been released. I guess it doesn't really matter if that's true or not, since I doubt any of it will ever come to light.

As long as the quality's good when you upload the tracks to youtube

I think it's likely for him to have quite a bunch of alternate versions of tracks, different experiments etc ... but it's probably not his best stuff. Liket those leaked tapes from a few years ago (they were legit, right?)

His discography is impressive, most musicians would give an arm and a leg for just for a percent of his catalog.

If this is all that hes ever done, who cares, what he has done puts him up there with music legends.
