Suprised no one has picked this up. Only came across it myself because Jeremy Ellis posted it on his Facebook ahem well I read between the lines what he wrote. Clearly his bummed though as it seems the association between him and Native Instruments has come to an end. :( Definitely looks like a shot back at Akai/Ableton with this new offering. Got to say its an attractive looking piece of gear!

ez guys.....

the controller looks nice, but the 2.0 software is what i am excited about. i´ve been using maschine since 1.2 in 2010, so i am not bothered about the upgrade price of 99 €. unlimited groups and fx!!! gonna need a new computer for this....

Yeah! I'm mostly excited about the software, hopefully it's much improved. A bunch of big screens on the controller kind of goes against what made maschine appealing to me in the first place, getting away from the computer screen.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

it's too bad they never properly and fully integrated the Maschine (machine?) with Reaktor. Seems like an obvious thing for them to do, like make in house Reaktor patches that are specifically designed to be played with machine. Like really nice and modifiable groovebox templates, things like that. The whole workflow of machine, at least the old one seemed very ass backwards to me, that you had to use this weird proprietary software DAW interface to sequence beats into. Ultimately you didn't have to look at the screen, but it still felt extremely awkward.

I do really quite like the look of this... I've always been kind of interested by Maschine but never thought that i would be able to get it to work for me without looking at the screen. the OLEDs look really smart and seem to give it just enough that I could dispense with the screen. the improved MIDI spec looks good too but ultimately... that price tag is eye watering.

also, I'm a sucker for drum synthesis and those wee drum synths look cool, but then I'm wondering if they're not going to find their way into a 4.x version of Battery - would certainly make sense given how they're moving battery away from the acccoustic stuff and trying to focus that on electronic drums. I never did bother with Komplete 9 as I tend to just every other version so I guess I'll be keeping my powder dry for now.

just got the 2.0 software (with my 1.0 maschine hardware), and the drum synthesis is fucking ace. that alone was worth the $99 upgrade price...

I have modular, tempest, analog 4, and have had machinedrum, jomox, and vermona drum synths, and the stuff in maschine is definitely up to par...

yeah, I haven't really had the time to dive into 2.0 but the drum synth engines do sound pretty sweet. From the little time I spent with it, it seems like a solid upgrade, well worth the $99.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

ermahgerd :O

had no idea this update even existed until reading this thread! this is GREAT. that mixer is so helpful, and these drum synths just gave me electro superpowers.

$99 well spent
