List Films You Wish You Hadn't Watched

Recommended Posts

there r obviously films that require us to turn them off or walk out or which we regret the time we spent to watch them. we might scorn the individual(s) who recommended such a warm, stinking mass to us, with little room for forgiveness. maybe it caused an uncomfortable evening with a loved one or romantic interest. whatever the case may be, this usually is a sign of a films poor quality, but could also be caused by the viewers poor tastes. so plees, when u find the time, here or there; if u would be so kind as to post the names of films you've watched that you would just as well save others the time in avoiding. films which for one reason or another displeased you.

my giant starring billy crystal.

i've only seen half of it, it was so terrible i walked out of the theater and sat on a bench for the next 45 minutes because staring at the wall was much better than watching the rest of that monstrosity. even my mom hated it. and she has terrible taste in movies. though she did not walk out.

the three stooges (2012)

envy

now you see me

all about steve

savages

total recall (2012)

so, so many. maybe all of them. my life would be richer without film in it. but there is one, above all else, a monolithic presence.

good call on Enter the Void although I haven't seen it, Irreversible had the same effect on me, not because of the 'graphic' ahem obvious *cgi* face smashing intro violence but because it was simply a really shitty very overhyped movie with some admittedly cool spinning upsidedown camera angles but the story, acting and structure was so annoying and boring that I honestly couldn't believe how many people recommended it to me after it was done. It was one of the those strange moments where I felt like I had literally seen a different film from everybody else.

3 minute extended face smashing scene in gay sex club -check
30 minute rape scene - check

anything else remotely interesting in the rest of the film? no, not at all

I really liked enter the void.. and thought irreversible was good. Something bout the long scenes makes them seem more real.. makes me feel like i can enter the void

I wish i hadn't watched The Big Lebowski.

The Women (2008)

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Kill Bill - me and my mate walked out.

Forrest Gump - never watch this at the cinema. At home on the sofa may be ok.

All of the Twilight films (GF made me go)

Prometheus is close, its not the worst thing i've ever seen (that would be the remake of Starsky and Hutch), but I think it was a massive wasted opportunity.

Yeah, Promotheus is definitely a film I wish I could wipe from my memory. The same goes for the Star Wars prequels.

Crash

basically a total wank fest about people sexually excited by car crashes for some reason. funny as this makes the film a car crash itself in many ways.

Transformers 1 & 2

another total wankfest, this time with cool robots that transform into vehicles while going CHE-CHEE-CHUGH!!! tried to sleep through the second but was too loud.

The Room

oh my god where do i start. some people class this in the "so bad it's good" category, but personally i found it actually physically painful to watch. "oh hi mark!"

Batman & Robin

FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!! if the most enjoyable part of your film is a close up of the lead's anatomically correct codpiece, you have issues.

Catwoman

the film that single handedly ended Halle Berry's career and won her a shelf full of Razzies. everything about this film is just horrifically bad.

Daredevil

cast primarily for his chiselled features and manly bum chin, Ben Affleck poses dramatically through this less than mediocre flick with mucho smell the fart acting.

Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom

this film was obviously made to piss off the catholic church I don't care what anybody else has to say about it. a catalogue of extreme sexual perversions with no plotline.

Variety

i've complained about this film before but i'll do so again. basically about a woman in a pron theatre who becomes obsessed with porn and stalks a customer. bollocks.

that's all i can think of for now, i'm sure there;'s more though.

I've read bits of the book, which I found under a bed in a youth hostel in the Peak District (creepy lol). Very extreme. Word got out and it was confiscated off me from the manager of the youth hostel (I was only 15 or so) There's some shit in that book which I presume outweighs the film. I guess as its 'art' its fully acceptable, but if your next door neighbour wrote it he's be locked up in the local mental hospital.
