Hi, i´m not sure about the transition between two half...it seems like it two tracks instead of one...there is nothing bounding it...first half is quite good though...maybe i would put a little less notes on the main melody...

I think you may have also sampled some autechre? I could recognise some sounds from the past I think(?)

Yes, I agree. I find the transition to be a bit abrupt as well. Maybe a bit more time between them?

I did not sample autechre directly on this actually. You might be thinking of the pads in this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq5VqWRHIzY or the melody break in Eggshell :)

The pads are really lovely, and creates a wonderful soundscape. Just be a little careful, I found the high frequencies a bit too loud on my speakers, I'd suggest turning those down. What also happens when the higher frequencies are louder than the lower ones, the human ear won't be able to hear them - the lower frequences should almost always be louder and go in a downwards curve. I really liked the second part, especially the beats. As for the song itself I have no complaints, it's really good - I'd love to see it in a music video with an underground setting or something.

Wow, this is very insightful! Mixing is defintely one of my weakpoints. The curve you mention makes a lot of sense. It reminds me of Four Tet's most recent (specifically) mixing style. It sounds almost dull lol. I like it though.

yeah the high pitches kind of hinder the enjoyment. It's a cool atmosphere but I can't get into it

I like the second part better I think. It's more subtle anyway and I find it atmospheric in its own way
