This short animation by Michel Gondry always reminds me of the weird claustrophobia-melancholy-comforting emotional combination I get from The Clangers. Being set on the moon probably helps with the connection too !

This is how it should be done! Was filled with horror when I read the words '£5million remake' but this is encouraging

£5,000,000 budget.

Its amazing when you think the original was a bunch of finger puppets, papier mache backdrops and tin whistle sound effects.

Clangers are ace, as is Ivor the Engine.

I had Ivor the Engine wallpaper when I was a kid. When we moved into a bigger house up the road I sat and cried on my bed all morning as I couldn't bear leving behind my precious wallpaper. True lol.
