Tried to make something very Burial inspired. Whataya think?

i dont know burial's stuff but i've heard the name. make it longer. i'd want to hear another musical element if it were to continue.

I like the vocals. You might consider knocking the beat off the grid a bit more. Make sure you're using Soundforge and have a hidden identity as well.

Pretty good atmosphere. Maybe add a low pass filter on the kick to make it more muddy and deep. It's a bit too hard hitting to be Burial-esque at the moment :)

I like the pattern and hits but perhaps I'd like some rhythmic element in there that adds looseness without simply being more swung. Like a rough cabasa/shaker sound or something behind (as in temporally) the beat.

I second what Squee said. A low pass filter would bring you closer to the Burial sound. It's a really cool beat. If I had it, I'd personally be playing around with some detuned synths and putting a little more color on the low end. Really cool so far.

i've only listened to burial a little bit but it seems like you have a good handle on the space and beat. i actually prefer this more "hard-hitting" sound- stay with that. i also think the track calls for a little more variation and maybe a detuned synth lead to differentiate it from your influences a bit more.
