this is one of the weirdest things phil elverum has put out, i think. it's basically a collection of songs from his last two albums (ocean roar and clear moon) but with most of the music replaced with weird midi/synth stuff and all of the vocals autotuned to hell and back. also, grok this album cover:

What do you like about it...?

Sounds like it might be great without the auto tuned stuff. Absolutely repulsive, the auto tuned vocals are...in my humble opinion of course.

 

I wish the person that invented that auto tuning stuff was never born. =(

it kind of reminds me of the knife at some points. and it's weird as hell. on a level that just works.

i'm a big elverum fan and i actually sort of like this.
