Opinions on a remix

Just started fiddling around with this track today:

Anyway I'd like opinions on t2 different versions

here one with 808 style drums

heres one with sort of chunky style drums

Which one do you like better and why. The 2nd might need more momentum in the beat. I also might add some choppy vocals to the track in general too.

I definitely prefer the second one. The kicks in the top one get kind of lost and that's a nice snare in the second one.

What are those sounds, like filtered choirs or something they're nice.

Have you tried layering the kicks?

The second one is really cool. You should try adding some soft 'reverse sounds' in there, that might prove cool. The snare is also cool. I like unpredictable snares.

From a cursory listen I prefer the first one. The 808 bass pulse works very well and I am not as big a fan of the snare in the second one.

Both version kick the original's ass already though: the distortion and piano on the original are shrill and unpleasant to me.

Second one is better due to sounding more unique, but cut down on the reverb on either one and they'd be fine.

Might progress the 2nd one (sorry Sanchez), the reverse snares isnt a bad idea.
