Guest Rulohead32
You know Röyksopp is becoming a little more active this 2013, right? First they're gonna release internationally "Running to the Sea (feat. Susanne Sundfor)" as a single, and now they unveiled the new b-side for the single. Who else is expecting a new album VERY SOON? :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_aFSNB8E5Y Edited November 15, 2013 by Redruth Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/81275-r%C3%B6yksopp-tba/ Share on other sites

Guest Rulohead32
Well there isn't any album announced, and we don't even know if Running to the Sea or this song will make it to it, but yeah, new album yay! Poimandres
I think their best album is Junior personally. Everybody seems to bang on about Melody but ehhhh Junior is better for me. Guest Rulohead32
Yeah, Junior is great but there are melodies at Melody that they'll never reach again. Melody gives me some nostalghia feeling (Remind Me, Poor Leno, Sparks...) (sent from my not-Apple device using Talk That Talk Deluxe Edition) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/81275-r%C3%B6yksopp-tba/#findComment-2112386 Share on other sites

Considering they're touring with Robyn this year, it's probable that, if an album is on its way, it'll be closer to Junior than Senior. Ragnar
the understanding was ok, that one song on it introduced me to The Knife so it worked out and if it were a knife song it'd be a pretty good one. But yeah anything after that feels like, so quirky and fun or something?? Like how the word pie or cheese isn't random at all and those people suck. Meanwhile melody am were these beautiful pure shining pastel colors made of shards of memory rising from the ether Man even the second part of the last track on melody am it's just this LOOP but somehow it's amazing Edited January 7, 2014 by Ragnar Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Ragnar's signature Hide all signatures http://djsaint-hubert.bandcamp.com/ Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/81275-r%C3%B6yksopp-tba/#findComment-2113000 Share on other sites
Ragnar
that's it first two albums made me want to go to Europe like kind of badly back in the day. Like the second album with that music video with random black guy going super saiyan and running through someplace in Spain I think with all cool mosaics everywhere/funky churches. The latter albums seemed detached and weird and plastic to me. Like here are some pretty colors but what happened to the glorious memory fragments. And the evocation of the wonders of Scandanavia with its free socialist lutefisk and pirate bay Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Ragnar's signature Hide all signatures http://djsaint-hubert.bandcamp.com/ Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/81275-r%C3%B6yksopp-tba/#findComment-2113003 Share on other sites
Poimandres
Y'all should listen to Junior more. It has great, crisp production (Melody sounds a little dated production wise) and some really emotive tracks to go along with the poppier stuff. It's about as close to pop music as I will get, and it executes that style really well. It's also a damn solid album, with nary a track worth skipping. Yeah, that's how I usually describe Junior: the only excellent pop album I've heard.
