Ween - The Mollusk

I'm so late on this. I know Pure Guava the most, listened to it off and on for years and for some stupid reason neglected the rest of their albums. I've been listening to The Mollusk nonstop for about 2 weeks and it gets more brilliant every time. I'm totally obsessed.

Some of the Ween stuff is truly great.

the mollusk has to be one of the best albums i ever heard 10/10

The Mollusk was the album that got me into Ween. Songs are great, production's great, and there's something clever going on in every track. It's been a while since I've heard it, but it may well be a 10/10 for me too. I'd say the same thing about most of their albums actually, but Mollusk might be my fave... maybe Chocolate and Cheese.

I genuinely cannot remember leaving the pub but i am sober enough to know that this thread is missing this........

I think I prefer Quebec or White Pepper but it is an awesome album. Buckingham Green is total prog awesomeness.

I always have had mixed feeling with Ween, they can create complete garbage then a genius song.

Surely there's some sort of public liability/health and safety issues with forcing your drummer to perform in a closed up animal suit. Also it would be sad if he died participating in the performance of such a shit song.

Surely there's some sort of public liability/health and safety issues with forcing your drummer to perform in a closed up animal suit. Also it would be sad if he died participating in the performance of such a shit song.

lol, exactly my feeling, they definitely are able to make really damn amazing song. Actually its weird, when you listen to their album that like after 4-5 completely garbage satiric boring over-prententious, that they are able to make a real masterpiece song. Really weird talent. Like talent that they dont use. or mayeb its always just luck when they actually make a good song?

Quebec is their masterpiece but Chocolate and Cheese is fantastic. I enjoy this video from their public access stint too.

thats really cool. I am starting to get into ween too. Its hit an miss but the hits are awesome
