chenGOD
Network overlords I beseech thee...Here is the situation: My friend's company has a Linksys NAS200 as their mail server. Recently the boss decided it might be a good idea to replace their UPS - he went on the cheap and got an APC Back-UPS 1000 Pro instead of a Smart-UPS but anyways that's besides the point. My question is how do I configure the setup for my friend since you cannot connect peripherals to the NAS. I'm thinking that actually it would be better to connect a computer to the UPS and have the software send the shutdown command to the NAS as per the configuration-type on this page:http://www.apcupsd.com/manual/#choosing-a-configuration-type As in choosing type #2.Will that work? What sorts of problems will I run into? Oh and I believe the computer used to control the server will be running Windows 7 - not sure on the exact configuration. Should just be able to plug in a lead from yer puter to the NAS and then launch a browser pointed to - 192.168.1.1 Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.
