Greatest live recordings ever produced?

Hi, there is a thread that is mainly geared towards live shows you've actually been to, but i'm more interested in the actual quality of a live recording that has been released in some capacity... anything you think is quality and on youtube would be appropriate for this thread for instance.

Discussion of live acts you've been to, or ones you wish you could've gone to is welcome, and so are thoughts on what constitutes a great live recording... especially.

Any artists are welcome obviously, as long as you're serious and not taking the piss

Ok.. i'll get the ball rolling and link a track that most people would of listened to at some point.

Old Man by Neil Young. I'm hardly a fan(well not until now), but recently was blown away by how good he sounded live, and i have to say i like it more than the studio version. everything sounds better and i was stunned. This was taken from a televised gig by BBC4 in 1971 and you can easily find the whole thing(5 tracks) if you want.

The other day i played it straight from youtube via my phone which was plugged into my younger brothers car stereo which is high end(ish) and he agreed that it sounded flawless... and then i thought about the question in the title of this thread

^Hendrix and the Experience live is about as good as it gets. I mean, goddamn:

1:35...(oh hey I'll just throw this Beatles riff in here like it's no big fucking deal)...

Never enjoyed Mayhem studio albums as much as this:

Some of my favorite DJ mixes are the truly live soundboard recordings, especially pre-Ableton, pre-CD turntable ones with the ballsy transitions and improv scratches, stuff like this:

Not that using loops and tech isn't cool, I still want to see the Chems live, I always liked how they cut-up and mash-up their own songs live as far back as 10 years ago:

^I feel like that really revived their career, people forgot Human After All was widely panned, at best had lukewarm reviews.

Also, 2nd on Neil Young

I don't know much about this kind of music, but this is quite moving, the original was an early 60s recording and it sounds amazing:

Most live albums from this era, especially of alt rock bands, are usually iffy, but this one is pretty good in terms of sound quality and actual rawness

hmm.... If I had to take a very empirical stance for most formally innovative and unexpected I would say either

The Well-Tuned Piano - La Monte Young

Dont know why I always skimmed the samples on that one. That track is like a jazzy Rated X. Cool

Had a long car ride yesterday, opened up this page, turned the stereo up and went nuts. Some awesome stuff has been posted already, appreciate it.

went through the Hendrix stuff, Neil Young & Crazy Horse and its all really great. I really like Miles Davis, but after hearing that version of Star Guitar live in Japan, well i thought i'd save Agharta for a more appropriate setting, and a better sound system.

I lost interest in The Chem Bro's around the time they released Star Guitar but fuck me that was charged with lushness. only small issue i heard was it sounded a little flat and not as full as it could have been, but youtube isn't exactly a great tool when it comes to SQ.

I could go on about Pink Floyd and their live stuff. The concept of Live at Pompeii with the band setting up a wall of gear in an empty amphitheater making the acoustics sort of unique is just uhhh, very interesting...

Having said that i'm sure a lot of people are already familiar with it, so here's 2 pretty cool things to check out...

For the sake of posterity i'm going to put LCC up here simply because it sounds AwEsome even on the tube. very crisp.

For me this is better than the studio version, especially the first half.
