John Zorn - The Mysteries

You mean the track or the album?

 

It has really beautiful tracks and is surprising of simplicity and accessibility when you know some other works of John Zorn. It seems like he recently made several albums of this vein and I'm excited about listening to them. I also think I'll start with offering this one for Christmas !

I've recently committed to digging into Tzadik's catalog as much as possible given a severe dearth of spending money. What a staggeringly vast and eclectic collection of sonics. I almost started a thread a while ago, but watmm didn't really seem like quite the place...

 

anyway, both these Zorn tracks are rad.

yeah apart from a thread about Zorn there's not a lot one this forum..

 

so apparently this album is a kind of sequel to a first one being The Gnostic Preludes, which seems to sound great as well
