Way to disable avatars?

Yo. Potentially a dumb question, but is there any way to disable avatars? I wanna go on WATMM at work but i feel dodgy cos of some of your guys avatars. I would use adblock but can't at work. GG

There's an add-on (for Firefox) called ImageBlock . Not sure if it would work on other browsers but it's worth a search. Has saved me many headaches

i'd imagine that if he can't adblock, he can't imageblock either.

I thought there might be a feature on the site that allows u to disable them, but i guess not. Maybe u could add it in Joyrex? 8-)

If you're using the Tomorrow's Harvest skin, there are two buttons at the top of a thread that change the display to a more compact one, hiding the avatars.

I'm really surprised there isn't a built-in way to turn off avatars! There is an addon to do this - is there enough interest in it (outside of using the built-in feature on the Tomorrow's Harvest skin) to buy and install it? It's only 5USD, so no biggie.

That would be a great way to spend $5. A christmas present to me and other peeps alike from WATMM.

Alright - it's installed - you can find the Avatar settings under your Ingore Preferences in your UCP:

Settings do not yet appear on my user CP, but its probably a cache thing. Will try again later.

Strange that there isn't and option to disable avatars in the vanilla version of this board. But reading the board without avatars would be confusing as I identify posters by them.

This is true. It's like looking at a screen of a vhs-rip that is scrambled while i'm on acid or something (not really on acid)

I've turned them off. I've been browsing a lot at work recently.

It is hard to recognise who's who, though. You're all just the amalgamated voice of WATMM now.
