Godel, Gonna bite that bait, but the media portrayal of 21-12-12 as "the end of world" was just a fear mongering campaign by corporate media, which it has been on for the last decade or so. Also, people are keenly interested in anything that has to do with something that can lead to death or destruction (just take a look at the amount of people slowing down when they see a car crash), which explains the rise of readers on the subject.

The "end" of the calender was nothing more than an end of the era, after which a new era follows. Currently, we are at the beginning of that new age. Rejoice!

I don't know if this is about hating the holidays or whatever, but I fucking hate Christmas. I also hate New Year's Eve... but not as much as Christmas.

I'm not interested to hear why people are interested in the fear mongering tricks of the media of the past decade or so. How old are you anyways? Been on this planet since the birth of modern media decades ago?

Fun fact: Upon investigating the origin of the image in the original post, I found it comes from a movie adaptation of a 1930's book named "Swallows And Amazons".

The fun fact lies in the fact that the book has a character unironically named... Titty Walker.
