Qatarsis
Hey guys,I'd like to share my new track with you and would really like to know what you think about it. the track actually started with this sample thats playing from the beginning on. I've recorded it from my new harmonica with those crappy laptop microphones and manipulated it with reverb, pingpong autofilters and stuff.many other sounds are coming from that sample too, for example the percussions, the harmonic tonality of the snare, nearly every element in different variations. what i liked about this technique is that in the end everything fits quite good together, because it all has got the same root (harmonica) in different variations but the tone doesnt really change that much. anyway, i hope you like what you hear and enjoy ! thanks for taking time :)https://soundcloud.com/qatarsis/loonatixcheers qatarsis Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Qatarsis's signature Hide all signatures https://soundcloud.com/qatarsis Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/81761-electronic-qatarsis-loonatix/ Share on other sites
Doomczar
You have done some interesting sound mangling!I have a hard time getting into any music where the kick drum is more or less constant. Not my cup of tea, but I am probably not your audience for that song. I appreciate that so much of it came from one sample, good job there! Definitely some interesting sounds. Just can't get past the repetitive drums. Squee
Interesting technique. I kinda wish the track was more varied. For instance, that wobbling chord thingy that you've got going throughout the entire track. Why not change the pitch of it every now and then? For instance, after every eighth beat or something. Also, I would probably change the bassline a bit. Instead of having a bass note playing on top of a kick, you should have it lead up to the kick. That'll give it a much better flow for this kind of music :) Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/81761-electronic-qatarsis-loonatix/#findComment-2111679 Share on other sites
