Butcher? Or hero?

Can't believe right-wing Israelis thought he was too lenient.

Ariel Sharon was one of those military leaders whose tactical skill bleed too much into pure ruthlessness, I always wonder what Moshe Dayan would of thought about the 1982 massacre - he had felt Sharon was reckless in the past.

Politically he's one of my least favorite PMs of Israel. That said, I'm curious about what would of occurred if he hadn't fallen ill, based on the disengagement plan and the forming of Kadima. Much of the same? It was a seemingly belated step toward centrism. Sincerely curious on Eugene's perspective on this.

whatever is left of his camp (tsipy livni, ehud olmert, shaul mofaz, dov wiseglass) is clearly pro-two-state solution, so despite his later hawkish statements i do think that he would continue working towards resolution, he was too pragmatic no to. he obviously mistrusted and despised arabs but he knew that this shit has to stop.
