Elder Scrolls: Oblivion

Anybody try this? Gotta admit, it's pretty lush and I just started it.

I'm playing a Redguard. I created a custom class I call "The Dealer" with all kinds of stealthy melee ability.

Sorry, I just saw that there was a topic on this game months ago. I hated Morrowind, too. It was really boring. So far, this one has kept my attention 80 times more than Morrowind, but I'm worried that I will get bored.

To me, it's a foil for World of Warcraft. Two entirely different types of gameplay and since hitting level 60, I got really bored with WoW. I mean, I had nice gear, but there was no way I was gonna forfeit my integrity by kissing somebody's as to join their l337 raiding guild. So WoW is buried for me until they come out with the expansion.

yeah i got this game not too long ago. it's some good fun.

i started a nord character and made a custom class thats all about speed and acrobatics and stealing things.

What is this? Some sort of role playing game where you dress up and run at each other in the park with plastic swords and speak Klingon?

i installed and played the game a couple of times.. looks like it deserves more time than i can afford to get interesting.

yeah it's a fucking amazing game. i can't think of anything i've ever played that's prettier.. game of the year no doubt. it's fun too, and open ended, and the dialog system is worlds better than the one in morrowind. cheers to bethesda!

It's stupidly good. When I got it I played it non-stop; it was rediculous. I've barely touched the main quest at all cos I'm having way too much fun with Thieves Guild/Dark Brotherhood etc. Absolute cracker of a game. Phwoar.

P.S. Actually nicking an Elder Scroll from the archives was a real :o moment.

i've played it quite a lot so far and i've only got to like level 15 cause i do all sorts of stupid things all the time... like picking herbs, talking/joking with NPCs, ...

this is probably the best game i've ever played. this and minesweeper.

Substitute for real life?

This game is CRAZY good. Unfortunately I've already done everything there is to do (main quest, factions, daedric shrines, side/misc quests, etc). I think the only thing I haven't done is find every single last nirnroot.

Probably going to start a new character; a pure wizard/mage dude. I didn't use enough magic the first go around.

Yeah I did most of the quests here too, my char is around lvl35 now :grin:

Was a great game, ok some shit was corny cliched RPG-stuff, but you could do great things with the AI and physics.. plus the graphics kept amazing me..

It runs fine (40-60fps) on my PC too (in 1280x1024 with 4x AA and medium/high detail). Good game, shame about the cheesy RPG-cliches..

i might pick this up after i move. after hitting 60 in wow i'm kinda burning out, i wanna get into the 40 person raids, but i cant do that unless i get leet FR gear, which isnt so big of a problem, but also attend like 60% of the raids, and i man, for now, i am playing enough to do that, but i also have a girlfriend, which means sometimes i actually cant play wow. and i'm not gonna have nerds give me shit for having an out of game life. and its kinda not even fun, because right now i'm just grinding for gear so i can grind for more gear so i can grind for more gear

nothing too special.. a 3400+ amd proc with an geforce 6800 ultra and a gig of ram..

mind you, i have HDR disabled and grass disabled too (especially the grass makes alot of difference)

GTA is like a real-world Diablo. I'm thinking a real-world Morrowind/Oblivion.

You can add quest mods if you want to. Some of them are pretty good, actually

I love it! I've only been to three towns or so because so damn huge! I've reached the first Oblivion Gate though but as soon as I enter I'm attacked by little devils...

yeah oblivion gates can be a bitch, especially when you get to the higher levels

Oblivion gates were really starting to annoy me, I'm glad I'm done with the main quest. You can find some good loot there though
