Forum bugs

I apologize if this has been posted before but I can't use the search function (chrome Version 32.0.1700.76 m)

In a general way, it seems that javascripts can't be executed normally here. I started using google to search through the forum but it's not really user-friendly. Can't use the quick reply either or edit my posts. Thought I'd tell.

Which skin on the forum are you using? Chrome 32 Mac/Win works fine.

Running fine here too (64 bit Windows 7 and Chrome version 32.0.1700.76 m). yanG - you haven't got NotScipts (or similar) blacklisting this site have you ?

testing

skin is IPB skin (can't even change it, menus won't drop). not working any better with lower security settings (never had problems with javascripts anyway). now testing with firefox.

ok i shall remember to use firefox instead of chrome which is getting buggier every year.

changed the theme with firefox. now testing with classic watmm theme in chrome.

not working any better. stick to ff.

Something is wrong with yer plugins (or Chrome install) my dear - it's working fine here on every skin.

Maybe because I'm using WinXP :P (though Chrome is buggy in my GF's Win7 laptop as well)

If simple JS stuff like dropdowns aren't working, then your browser is out of date - try updating.

When accessing the mobile site, bringing up the forum "main menu" (button in top right hand corner), there is an error displayed where the chat button would normally be, and it messes up the formatting of the rest of the buttons, as seen below:

error: Could not load template 'chatMobileLink' from group 'ipchat'

^^^ this has been driving me nuts but I've been too lazy to post it. You're doing gods work, osc, praise be to you.

Yeah, that's never really worked AFAICR - use Tapatalk. Far faster and better for mobile WATMMing.

Always wondered what that said - assumed it was a bit of transparency coming through the background !

plenty of users here have griped about the shitty changes to the Tapatalk app, as well as elsewhere online.

The Tapatalk app is slow, unwieldy, and inconsistent in design and navigation.

Is that mobile bug on android?

Yes it has. I've used that chat button on mobile version for over a year.

It disappeared like that last year sometime and then it was fixed. It only disappeared again last week.

Now I have to go to full version on phone, enter chat and then click mobile version again.

That way is still less hassle than using tapatalk.

is true. i've tried using and can't navigate the site for shit using Tapatalk.

it's like a blurred approximation of what watmm should be like.

tapatalk is one of the worst apps ever designed they must continually hire and fire design teams lol

BTW, come 2016, there will be a new WATMM - mobile-friendly forum (so Tapatalk haters can breathe a sigh of relief), new features, lots of changes. Pretty excited, TBH.
