Supposedly DMX has really bad asthma and he is also a pretty heavy drug user from what I can gather. He will need to put some time in the gym for this. Hopefully he will win then drop an album with the media momentum behind him.

This guy was getting beaten up by a teenager so bad he felt the need to whip out a gun and shoot the kid for fearing his life is in danger (or so he says)

I actually don't think that is plagiarism. He just used that flag photo as reference. Many artists do this in various ways in many mediums. He made it his own. The way he placed the type is actually a little clever albeit initially confusing.

What the fuck? Does this guy not understand what he's doing? This is a serious lack in judgment for all involved. He's lacking judgment, obviously. But DMX (who the hell is this, some celebrity? I don't keep up with this stupid shit) also lacks judgment in calling attention to this guy again: he shouldn't dignify this man with anything like this sort of attention. And the media is just lapping it all up, because they're idiots with no sense of real news. And I lack judgment for writing a post about it. I'm out.

When it comes to disgusting entertainment, this is on level with Roman Gladiator bouts. Actually those still had a tiny but fucked up sense of, I dunno, not dignity but like it wasn't framed as something good or ok. They were at least focused and transparent activities. This kind of shit is worst.

Modern America has a way to frame to flip terrible things into an "acceptable" context, using absurdity or the premise of "controversy" as an excuse to discuss and "debate" it. This shouldn't even be entertained as an idea, let alone discussed. This idea, at best, is something thinks of in a hypothetical fantasy out of frustration. Hell, that's the only reason I even gave it further thought. The honest and blunt response to this is simply not to pay attention to it.

I dont think theres anything wrong with having it open to discussion & being critical about it, its unbelievably disturbing. i think to be quiet & apathetic about such matters isn't a good way to go either...... from an outside perspective its a strong example that fundamentally something is wrong with contemporary american culture
